How the yes or no wheel works
The wheel starts with two equal slices, Yes and No, so each answer has exactly a 50% chance. Think of your question, spin, and the pointer gives your answer.
Want more nuance? Load Yes / No / Maybe with one click, or type any answers you like. Every line becomes a slice.
Ideas for using a yes/no spinner
- Settling small everyday decisions: “Should I order pizza tonight?”
- Party games and truth-or-dare style challenges.
- Classroom warm-ups. Students predict the answer before the spin.
- Breaking a tie when a group vote is split evenly.
Changing the odds
In Settings, turn on Weighted entries and write Yes *3 to make “Yes” three times as likely as “No.” The slice grows so the odds stay visible. Prefer to keep it simple? Add “Yes” on two lines instead.
For bigger decisions with more than two options, use the main Wheel of Names and list each choice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the yes or no wheel 50/50?
Yes. With one Yes and one No slice, each has exactly a 50% chance, picked with cryptographic randomness.
Can I add “Maybe”?
Yes. Click “Yes / No / Maybe” under Load, or type Maybe on a new line. Each option then has a one-in-three chance.
Is a yes or no wheel better than flipping a coin?
It gives the same 50/50 odds, but you can add extra answers, change the odds openly, and keep a history of every spin in the Results tab.
